recently i went to both la bomba's and kk's one after the other.  i don't know what was going on, but la bomba's kind of sucked -- a lot of the folks we knew weren't there; including waiters, managers, and dancers.  then went to check out kk's -- and it was the same great mainstay that we've always known.  lots of nice folks working there once you get to know them; fast service (watch those waiters RUN!); the best looking dancer girls; and every once in a while interesting dance, comedy, singing, transvestite (?) performances.  the place maximizes the use of space.  the ceiling is really low to make it feel more crowded.  you may want to avoid this place if you are claustrophobic.  if you come alone, they will try to push you to the bar where you can play dice games with the bar girls.  if you come in a big group, you should reserve early!  they also have some ktv rooms in the back area of the 1st floor.  there's also stuff on the 2nd floor, but i'd recommend staying on the first floor since it's more interesting.  music is the standard eurodance mixed with a tiny smattering of hip-hop.  definitely one of the top discos in xiamen.
