[中文点评在下面] I just got back from Dalian travelling today and I went with friends to this coffeehouse. Did you guys know that Xiaban.com also covers other cities through China? Although the other cities don't have nearly as many reviews, I still recommend that you guys check out the "到其他的城市" link at the top of the page to explore the other city offerings. I hope the web site will provide improved content offerings for these other cities sometime soon.

I've travelled to Dalian a bunch of times this year (where my father was born) -- I really think it's a beautiful, clean city, but the nightlife and coffeehouses suck in comparison to Xiamen. On the otherhand, there are definitely more foreigners in Dalian -- Americans, Europeans and, especially, a whole bunch of Japanese. LOTS of Japanese. As a consequence, the Japanese and western cuisine offerings in Dalian are superb. GREAT Japanese restaurants, a great German brewhouse, etc...

I-55 is one of the American style coffeehouses/sports bars. It offers big hamburgers, chicken strips, beer, coffee, etc... and is decorated with midwestern flavor on it's walls and American books and magazines throughout. When I came in, a bunch of people were watching Tiger Woods playing golf on TV in the sports bar. In any case, it really does have an authentic American feel to it -- down to the burger and chicken strips that we ordered. If anything, the coffee tasted TOO good to be a REAL sports bar... it has English speaking staff AND a non-smoking section!

我今年去大连很多次了觉得夜生活，咖啡厅比厦门不好玩，可是城市还很漂亮。而且大连的外国人很多 -- 美国人，欧洲人很多 -- 日本人特别多。所以我觉得大连的日本菜，西菜比厦门好很多。有很多非常好的日本料理，一个非常好的德国餐厅、酒吧。。。

大连也有很多美国风格的咖啡厅 -- I-55 是一个美国有一点有名的高路在美国的中间所以这个咖啡厅、酒吧有美国中间的风格 -- 很多很大的汉堡包，鸡肉条，美国音乐，和很多英文书。在酒吧间的电视有Tiger Woods在一个高尔夫比赛。我真的觉得我在美国一个sports bar.
