In the US, most people get pizza delivered to their house -- usually for parties or get-togethers to watch sports or movies. People rarely actually eat at the pizza restaurants. It's an interesting contrast to China, where going to a place like Pizza Hut is a big deal (for dates, etc). So, while lots of Pizza Huts in the US are just tiny little delivery joints; the ones in China are grand semi-fancy restaurants -- and this one in particular sits on one of the top floors of a tall skyscraper, giving a great view. While I am mentioning Pizza Hut, it's interesting to note that McDonald's is about the same in China as it is in the US; and KFC is a bit worse, the chicken tends to be smaller and drier in China. Overall this place is pretty decent and has a pretty wide assortment of menu items to choose from. I tend to prefer straight pizza delivered to my house, so this doesn't quite fit my style.

The interesting thing is that KFC and Pizza Hut are now owned by the same conglomerate (Yum! Brands), but they've managed to diversify their brands in China much better than in the U.S.. In fact, I would say they're kicking ass in China compared to the U.S.. Now they just need to bring their last two brands over -- Taco Bell and Long John Silvers (although I'm not sure how Xiamen people would react to tacos and fish sticks).
